Two jobs delivered inside Seminole County, both on the envelope. The larger one is in Lake Mary: a two-story stucco home of about 4,000 square feet taken from light tan to mid gray in four working days, with zero accidents. The smaller one is a front elevation — entry door, frame, casing, threshold and both garage doors — refinished in place in a single day, with nothing replaced.
A color change is a different job from a repaint, and this one went the hard direction. Going darker means every thin spot shows: an inch missed at a window return, a coat stretched too far to finish an elevation, a patch that took the primer differently. None of it hides, because the old color is lighter than the new one and it reads back as a pale line from the street.
Which is why the wash comes first and then nothing happens for a while. Stucco holds water, and a wall still carrying it blisters weeks later, when nobody is on site to watch it start. In a four-day program that dry-out is not slack in the schedule — it is the reason the other three days are worth doing.
The part nobody photographs is the masking. A screened lanai gets covered completely, because screen mesh cannot be washed: overspray on it is not a clean-up, it is a replacement. Walks, drives and pavers get covered rather than wiped afterwards, because a concrete paver takes a spatter of exterior paint permanently. Both came through this one clean, which is the half of an exterior repaint that everybody notices afterwards.
One practical note before a start date gets promised. Seminole is a county of incorporated cities — Lake Mary, Sanford, Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Winter Springs, Longwood and Casselberry — so whether a property sits inside one of them or in unincorporated county decides which office the permit goes to. It does not change the scope. It changes the calendar.
